Our Mission:

To provide a safe and sacred space, into which we welcome all people and encourage them to grow in spirit, by means of meditation practice. We are affiliated with Hollow Bones Zen.

News

01-Jun-2012 - We started a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) this year at Still Point Organic Farms.

Shares can be purchased for $350 or exchanged for work (planting, weeding, harvesting). Contact Penney at 920-994-8650 for more information.

06-May-2012 - We completed another successful three-day Mondo Zen retreat at Still Point. Next one is scheduled for October 5-7, 2012.

29-Mar-2012 We will soon begin soliciting volunteer farm workers to participate in our CSA program. CSA Shares can be purchased with your cash (or check) or with your time. As food prices rise and quality declines in the stores, fresh organic produce may be a welcome alternative this year.

26-Mar-2012 We received enough donations to provide 30 sets of blocks and straps for the Yoga program at Taycheedah Correctional Institution. We are still collecting donations for bolsters. There are currently two classes of 25 each with a waiting list of 70 women! Based on early feedback, this program is a great success.

06-Feb-12 - We completed another successful three-day Mondo Zen retreat at Still Point.

08-Nov-2011 Still Point Zen Center will be adding two Yoga classes per week at Taycheedah Correctional Institution (Women's Maximum Security Prison - Fond du Lac, WI) in addition to the Buddhist Study Group and clergy visits by Khyati Penney Johns. We are in need of donations to support this work. See more on this Yoga outreach project and how you can donate to support the needed mats and props by going to the Yoga tab on this website.

12-Sep-11 - Still Point Organic Farm received certification by MOSA (Midwest Organic Service Association, Inc) for vegetables grown on the farm at Still Point Zen Center.

25-Oct-11 - The organic garden produced some wonderful food, which will be used throughout the winter for our Retreats. We were also able to send some of our surplus food to the local Food Pantry.

09-Jul-11 - Change in Schedule: we will no longer be offering our weekly Saturday Morning Zen Service and Meditation practice. Stay tuned for announcements of our upcoming "Full-Day Integrated Practice" with Zen, Yoga, Mondo, Samue, and an Organic Meal from Khyati's Recipe book.

19-Jun-11 - We just completed a three-day Mondo Zen retreat at Still Point. Recipes from Khyati's Kitchen have been posted. Use the "Recipes" link.

10-Jun-11 - Plantings are growing like weeds. Or are those just the weeds. Come share in the bounty, and trade your time in the fields for food.

31-Apr-11 - We are currently planning to create a one-acre plot of Organic produce this year. If you are interested in helping (with planting, weeding, harvesting, etc.) or would like to earn a share of the produce, please contact Penney to let her know!

31-Dec-10 - We will be celebrating our Fifth Anniversary here in Random Lake with our New Years Eve Event.

20-Dec-10 - Penney Johns and Doug Szper completed a four-day "Trauma Release Facilitation" workshop at the Center for Creative Learning.

30-Aug-10 - [Rev Meru] Doug Szper continues his experiment in teaching Physics at Lakeland College.

01-Jan-10 - We begin a year-long teaching project which focuses on the basics of Buddha's Philosophy: The Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold path. Each month we will focus our talks and discussion on one of these topics. See our Schedule page for more details.

31-Aug-09 - [Rev Meru] Doug Szper begins an eight-month experiment in teaching "Calculus-based Physics" at Lakeland College.
